According to legend, Methuselah received a pillar from his seven times great grandfather, a man called Adam, whose mysterious origin and knowledge was finely etched into the stone. Was the pillar divine, or did actual scientific data help Methuselah to become known as the oldest man who ever lived? The legend also claims that Moses possessed the enlightening pillar before he singlehandedly delivered Hebrew slaves from the powerful Egyptians with miraculous plagues.
Soon after the pillar’s discovery, American unmanned reconnaissance drones spot strange anomalies in the craggy northern mountains of Afghanistan. The Army sends special ground forces in to investigate. They were completely unprepared for what they found.
Samantha Conway, a renowned archaeologist and ancient language expert, is called to decipher the pillar’s writings, as deadly plagues dating from the time of Moses return.

Methuselah's Pillar is intense and enthralling. A book you won't want to put down.Alluring depiction of characters, places and events. Details and descriptions so powerfully vivid. Be prepared to feel, see and hear every aspect as the story envelops you. So much better than watching one of the great epic movies of our time.
I read "Stingers" by W.G. Griffiths (a must read addition to everyone's personal library) just prior to Methuselah's Pillar and was glad I did. That's where Samantha Conway's story actually begins. Its great to witness her transition. Absolutely wonderful character portrayals.
Sam Conway's character is: Bold, Bright, Identifiable. She knows who she is and stays true to herself (admirable qualities). She is the girl next door from Stingers who can hold her own with the guys, yet has beauty, elegance, refinement and integrity. Truly inspiring and wonderfully unique. She remains strong and capable amidst the chaos!!! A promising and noteworthy character.
I highly recommend that you take the opportunity to read W.G. GRIFFITHS if you haven't already done so. Total immersion and so much more from start to finish is what you can expect. Each of his novels is bound to leave you with a need for more. The time, talent, research, creative genius, love and devotion that this author obviously puts into his work is evident throughout.
Savor both story and author!!
Methuselah's Pillar goes down as another all-time favorite alongside Stingers! These books will be read, shared and thoroughly enjoyed many times over.

The story line is wonderful and a great read; HOWEVER, it seems totally unnecessary for Mr. Griffiths to use the Lord's name so much. I realize that it is done everywhere, but a great writer does not have to use this language, and he is a great writer. I rate the book a 5 for story but zero for unnecessary use of the Lord's name as cursing.
W.G.Griffiths keeps your interest in all his books, a must read!
good read
I absolutely loved this book. It is a real page turner, from the beginning to the end. An Indiana Jones type epic, with a modern day terrorist, references to ancient Egyptians, biblical legends and non-stop suspense. I highly recommend Methuselah's Pillar by W. G. Griffiths.
Get ready for an adventure. Methuselah's Pilar was impossisble to put down. The way the chapters are set up builds up the suspense and keeps your heart racing. In this book you will meet Decker, a secret agent, strong, loyal, fast, trained, educated and focused. He is on a mission to stop an insane man from causisng a germ warfare. He is every girl's dream. Guys, you can learn a lot from him. You will also meet Sam Conway, a daring, extraordinary, loving, adventurous, and insanely fun scientist. The book will take you in a trip throughout time, you will visit caves, deserts, fancy labs, and of course it also has romance. It is a must read. I highly recommend.
I just finished the book on , and I'd've given it 5 stars except for the formatting problems it has in the Edition.
1) Indents for new paragraphs/dialogue tend to remain throughout the paragraph/dialogue, creating a block-quote look. Especially in dialogue, you have to mind your quotation marks to make sure you know who's speaking.
2) Misplaced punctuation there were a lot. of lost periods, commas "and quotation" marks in the, edition, and. in most ,every case it made reading. difficult (as I just showed).
3) The Epilogue Why the format created double-line-spaces between each paragraph is beyond me - it almost looked like a high-school term paper trying to stretch to meet the teacher's 5-page requirement.
The story itself was quite good.
A book that was filled with adventure, drama, When Sam found the hidden door I couldn't put the book down. A must read if you like reading about the Egyptians there past and future. I loved the book I couldn't put it down. I would recommend every one should read Methuselah's Pillar and other books by W .G .Griffiths he is amazing.
